Jaguar Land Rover North America is recalling 205 2016-model year Land Rover Range Rover and Range Rover Sport vehicles because the passenger frontal air bag inflator initiator may fail to ignite during a crash, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

“If the air bag inflator initiator fails to ignite, the passenger frontal air bag will not deploy, increasing the risk of injury in the event of a crash,” NHTSA warned on its website.

Land Rover dealers will replace the front passenger air bag, free of charge, to resolve the issue. The recall is expected to begin May 1.

Vehicle owners can reach Land Rover customer service at (800) 637-6837. Land Rover’s number for this recall is N026.
