Mercedes-Benz USA is recalling 2,215 2016- and 2017-model year GLE 300d 4MATIC, GLE 350, GLE 350 4MATIC, and GLE 400 4MATIC vehicles because their low-beam headlights may have been improperly adjusted, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

As a result, these vehicles aren’t in compliance with all federal safety standards. The vehicles were manufactured from Oct. 14 to Nov. 23 in 2015.

“If the low-beam headlights are out of adjustment, the driver’s visibility may be reduced, increasing the risk of a crash,” NHTSA warned on its website.

MBUSA dealers will make an inspection and readjust the headlights as needed. There will be no charge for this service. The recall is due to begin this month.

Vehicle owners can reach MBUSA customer service at (800) 367-6372.
