General Motors is recalling 189 2016 model-year Buick Verano cars — each equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine — because of a potential fire risk, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reported.

The sedans at issue were manufactured Feb. 16 to May 12 of this year. In these vehicles, the engine fuel line assembly may be misrouted, allowing the fuel line to contact the surface of the engine.

If the fuel line contacts the engine, the fuel line may wear and lead to a fuel leak that increases the risk of a fire, NHTSA said.

GM dealers will replace the fuel line assembly, free of charge. Vehicle owners can reach Buick customer service at (800) 521-7300. GM’s number for this recall is 54180.
