FCA US is recalling an estimated 10,944 2009-2016 model-year Dodge Journey mid-size SUVs in the U.S., each of which is equipped with an optional block heater.

An investigation found that in these vehicles, some lines carrying power-steering fluid might leak at engine start-up during extremely cold weather, FCA US said. Though steering isn’t lost during such circumstances, the driver may need to use more physical effort to steer.

The automaker noted, however, that it isn’t aware of any related injuries or accidents.

In addition to the recalled vehicles in the U.S., an estimated 187,436 vehicles in Canada are subject to this recall.

“Replacement parts are expected to become available soon,” FCA US said in a released statement. “Affected customers will be notified accordingly.”

Vehicle owners can reach the FCA US Customer Care Center at (800) 853-1403.
