Volvo Cars of North America is recalling 7,855 2016 model-year Volvo S60, V60, V60CC, XC60, XC70 and S80 vehicles because of potential stalling, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reported.

The recalled vehicles were manufactured April 8-19 of this year.

In certain driving conditions, when the automatic engine stop/start function is engaged, the starter motor fuse may blow, NHTSA said. As a result, the driver won’t be able to restart the car.

Volvo dealers will replace the existing starter motor fuse with a higher amperage fuse, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin Oct. 12.

Vehicle owners can reach Volvo customer service at (800) 458-1552 or by visiting http://volvo.custhelp.com.

Volvo's number for this recall is R39574.
