Volkswagen Group of America is recalling 2,957 2015 model-year Tiguan SUVs because their certification labels might lack accurate tire pressure, weight and loading information, the National Highway Traffic Administration reported.

Dealers will provide accurate replacement labels, free of charge. The recall covers Tiguan vehicles manufactured from Jan. 22 to March 20 of this year.

The recall, due to begin this month, is warranted to prevent people from overloading the car, NHTSA said. Overloading can lead to vehicle instability.

Vehicle owners can reach Volkswagen customer service at (800) 893-5298. Volkswagen's number for this recall is 01A5.
