Nissan North America is recalling 893 2014-2015 model-year Nissan Pathfinder, Rogue and Infiniti QX60 vehicles because of potential steering control and braking problems, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports.

The recall affects Pathfinder and Infiniti QX60 vehicles manufactured in 2014, from Aug. 14 to Nov. 5. The recalled Rogue vehicles were manufactured last year as well, from Aug. 12 to Nov. 15. During the assembly process, the front wheel hub assembly fasteners may not have been properly torqued.

The under-torqued fasteners might result in a brake caliper separating from the wheel assembly, diminishing braking performance or steering control, NHTSA said.

Nissan dealers will inspect the recalled vehicles and tighten any loose bolts to the proper specification, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin Feb. 25. Vehicle owners can reach Nissan customer service at (800) 647-7261.
