Hyundai Recalls Sonatas for Axle Shaft

Hyundai is recalling 208 1.6-liter 2015 model-year Sonata sedans so dealers can determine whether the left axle shaft needs replacement, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

In these vehicles, the left axle shaft may have been assembled incorrectly and, as a result, may separate from the transaxle differential and cause the vehicle to stop moving. Additionally, a separated axle shaft may cause the vehicle to roll away unexpectedly, NHTSA said.
