ROUSH CleanTech is recalling 845 propane fuel system conversion kits because of potential fuel leaking, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports.

Because of a reaction between different metals, these kits might develop a propane leak where the aluminum fuel-line fitting contacts the brass supply valve housing. Such a fuel leak poses a fire risk, NHTSA said.

The recall includes kits manufactured from January 2011 to August 2012. They were sold as original and replacement equipment for installation on Ford E-150 Wagons and Cargo Vans; E-250 Cargo Vans and Extended Cargo Vans; E-350 Wagons, Extended Wagons, Cargo Vans and Extended Vans; and E-450 Cutaway models.

The ROUSH service network will replace the aluminum fitting with a stainless steel fitting, free of charge.

ROUSH customer service can be reached at 1-800-597-6874.
