LeasePlan USA Expands Safety Department with New Addition

June 05, 2013 - Press Release

LeasePlan USA, the high-touch service provider of vehicle leasing and fleet management solutions, recently added valuable expertise to its Safety Department by appointing Bob Krueger to the position of manager of safety operations.

In this role, Krueger will be responsible for managing LeasePlan’s safety program offerings, one of the most comprehensive risk management packages in the industry. He will also be influential in helping support LeasePlan’s focus on safety with its own fleet of vehicles.

“Our safety program enrollment increased by 81% last year,” said Tony Blezien, vice president of operations. “We expect continued growth in the years to come with the heightened awareness and demand for reduced risk in our industry. Bob’s experience with product growth and development will be an excellent contribution to the success of our safety department. Through his passion and involvement in the industry, we will expand our holistic approach to helping our clients manage risk in their pursuit of safety.”

Krueger began his career at LeasePlan as a coordinator for the maintenance team in 2002. He then joined the fleet maintenance billing team as supervisor and developed his role into manager in a short period of time.

“Bob played a major role in the development and streamlining of our billing processes during a period of tremendous product growth at LeasePlan,” Blezien said. “It was this demonstration of leadership, as well as cross functional work in the safety area, that resulted in his promotion to manager of the safety department.”

Krueger is a member of the National Safety Council, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to save lives by preventing injuries and deaths at work, in homes and communities, and on the road through leadership, research, education, and advocacy.
