ARLINGTON, VA - The video (click the image above to view it; note the video does not have sound) from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) goes to show just how far automotive safety technology has come in the last 50 years. IIHS crash tested a 1959 Chevrolet Bel Air with a 2009 Chevrolet Malibu.

This video was originally presented to attendees at the first-ever Fleet Safety Conference, held in Schaumburg, Ill., earlier this year.
