GM Recalling 2012-MY Chevrolet Sonics

WASHINGTONGeneral Motors is recalling 44,668 2012 model-year Chevrolet Sonic vehicles because the windshield wiper system might malfunction.

The windshield wiper washer hose in these vehicles might separate from the washer fluid reservoir, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. As a result, the driver may be unable to clean the windshield as needed, which could compromise the driver's vision.

To remedy the problem, dealers will secure the windshield washer hose to prevent separation from the washer fluid reservoir. There will be no charge for this service.

This safety recall is expected to get under way around Sept. 7.

    so for the whiper hose do i have to take it in or can i just pop it back on an fix it myself
