CHICAGO -- BodyShopBids, a Chicago start-up business that lets customers solicit collision repair estimates using the company website or mobile phone apps, has expanded service to the Pacific Northwest and California.

Participating body shops, which BodyShopBids has screened, are all local. Customers can upload photos of their damaged vehicle and then receive price quotes from collision repair facilities in the program within 24 hours.

The service is available through www.bodyshopbids.com as well as iPhone and Android apps.

The company founder and CEO is Brad Weisberg, who previously helped launch TheJMom.com.
