WASHINGTON - American Honda Motor Co. is recalling 1,156 model-year 2012 Honda Civic two-door and four-door vehicles manufactured from April 21 through May 2 of this year.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, an O-ring that seals a connection in the fuel feed line may be misaligned, creating the risk of a small fuel leak. This poses a potential fire risk.

Honda dealers will replace the fuel feed line assembly free of charge. The safety recall is expected to get under way this week.

Vehicle owners can contact Honda at (800) 999-1009.
