AAA Video Shows Dangers of Texting

May 13, 2011

LOS ANGELES – The Auto Club of Southern California (AAA) has a number of videos on its YouTube channel that show the dangers of distracted driving. Although many of the videos are focused more on general driving safety, they’re worth a look and could be used for informal training of company drivers.

In the video shown above, Dr. Bill Van Tassel, manager of AAA Driver Training, puts three ordinary drivers behind the wheel on a closed course and challenges them to text while driving. AAA said the video illustrates how difficult it is to text behind the wheel and how easy it is for the behavior to cause a crash.
