WASHINGTON - American Honda Motor Co. is recalling 2,277 model year 2010 Honda Accord and CR-V vehicles because the engine wiring harness connector has the potential to fail, which could cause intermittent spark firing or engine stalling, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

To resolve the problem, dealers will inspect and replace the ignition wiring harness connector free of charge. The safety recall is expected to get under way in February.

Owners can reach Honda at (800) 999-1009.
