Driver’s Alert Announces Its Selection as an ARI Driver Watch Partner

January 25, 2011 - Press Release

LIGHTHOUSE POINT, FL - Driver’s Alert, a pioneer in the fleet safety, risk reduction and online training industries, today announced it was selected by Automotive Resources International (ARI) as a partner in its recently announced ARI Driver Watch program. ARI Driver Watch is a new road safety observation reporting program, which promotes safer driving and lowers driver risk. Driver’s Alert will provide the driver observation and reporting component of ARI Driver Watch.

“ARI selected Driver’s Alert for this critical component of the ARI Driver Watch program after a thorough review of the competitive products”

The program involves placing Driver’s Alert’s decals on vehicles with a vehicle unit number and a reporting phone number. Other drivers and/or pedestrians can call the number to report any unsafe behavior or to offer positive feedback. The data collected by Driver’s Alert will be integrated into ARI’s web-based fleet management system, ARI insights.

“ARI selected Driver’s Alert for this critical component of the ARI Driver Watch program after a thorough review of the competitive products,” said Keith Steidle, Manager, ARI Business Development. “We liked the technology that backs Driver’s Alert’s driver observation service, their guaranteed 97% call accuracy rate, and the fact that they record every phone call and provide a .wav file of the actual call within minutes of the call being received. This ensures you are dealing with facts, not hearsay, when counseling a driver. The ARI insights system will integrate the client’s data from these phone calls with its full complement of data on accidents, violations, and other measurements of driver behavior.”

Paul C. Milazzo, Co-founder and Managing Partner of Driver’s Alert, said: “We are pleased to be selected as a partner for ARI Driver Watch. Our decal-based observation service has expanded and evolved as a direct result of our experience — more than 20 years of helping clients with their fleet safety management challenges. Our behavior-based driver observation service immediately identifies high-risk driving behaviors with near real-time reporting, enabling an ARI Driver Watch client to take action quickly. In so doing, they will maximize their traffic safety awareness, be protected again costly crashes, create a safer workforce and limit liability.”
