WASHINGTON - Chrysler Group LLC is recalling 26,397 MY 2010 Chrysler 300, Chrysler Sebring, Dodge Avenger, Dodge Challenger and Dodge Journey vehicles, as well as MY 2011 Dodge Ram trucks.

Some of these vehicles may experience a separation at the crimped end of the power steering pressure hose assembly. This condition can lead to power steering fluid leaking onto a hot engine, posing a fire risk, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said.

To remedy the problem, dealers will conduct an inspection and replace any defective power steering pressure hoses free of charge. This safety recall (No. K26) is expected to begin this month.

Vehicle owners can reach Chrysler at (800) 853-1403.
