WASHINGTON - Sunroof manufacturer Webasto has issued a series of safety recalls involving its Hollandia 700 and 600 Series and Hollandia TVS 900 Series sunroofs installed on various passenger vehicles.

The adhesive bond between the glass and the metal frame may not hold, leading to a separation of the sunroof glass from the vehicle. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, this condition can develop gradually and may be evidenced by metal corrosion around the sunroof frame, wind noise, vibration, visible bond separation or water leakage.

Webasto AG is headquartered in Germany, but the organization has several operations in North America. That includes Webasto Product North America in Fenton, Mich., and Webasto Roof Systems in Rochester Hills, Mich. Webasto Product North America is in charge of the U.S. sunroof safety recalls.
