DALLAS - The Service King chain of collision repair centers, based in Texas, is planning a national expansion, the Dallas News reported.

The company was founded in 1976 by Eddie Lennox, who serves as the company chairman.

Service King recently opened seven shops in Houston. The privately owned company has 31 body shops and 1,000 employees, most based in the Dallas area.

Cathy Bonner, the company's new president, hopes further expansion on a national scale will help double revenue over the next five years. She is developing a growth strategy plan.
