Goodyear Recalls Dunlop Commercial Trailer Tires

September 08, 2010

WASHINGTON - Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. is recalling nearly 12,000 Dunlop SP193 commercial trailer tires that are size 295/75R22.5. The tires could be prone to air loss, posing a safety hazard.

Tires covered by the safety recall were manufactured between Jan. 24 and May 29 of this year.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Goodyear will notify owners of record and visually inspect the tires for the defect. If the defect is present, Goodyear dealers will replace the tires free of charge. If there is no defect present, the tires are safe to drive on and no replacement will be necessary.

The safety recall is set to begin later this month. Goodyear can be reached at (800) 321-2136.
