McNeilus Recalls Some MY 2003 Garbage Trucks

WASHINGTON - McNeilus Truck & Manufacturing is recalling more than 3,000 MY 2003 Atlantic RFEL refuse trucks that were built on an Autocar chassis. 

During the refuse body mounting process, the chassis air tanks may have been relocated to facilitate mounting of the body. During this process, airlines to the air holdback valve may have been reconnected incorrectly after the tank was relocated, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. This poses a potential safety risk. 

Necessary repairs will be performed free of charge. The recall begins this month.
