June 16, 2010

ARLINGTON, VA - The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety announced the MY 2010 Lexus HS 250h has earned the institute's highest rating of "good" for side impact crash protection.

The Lexus HS 250h also drew an "acceptable" rating for roof strength in rollover crashes, IIHS said. The HS 250h is rated "good" for frontal crash protection based on a test conducted earlier by IIHS.

IIHS also said the 2010 Suzuki Kizashi drew an "acceptable" rating for roof strength in rollover crashes. This model will be evaluated for front and side crash protection later this year, the institute noted.
