ARLINGTON, VA - The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) announced on May 25 that three Toyota vehicles -- the 2011 Avalon, 2011 Sienna and 2010 Lexus RX -- have just received the 2010 Top Safety Pick award.

The awards were given to the vehicles based on new IIHS rollover test results.

The Top Safety Pick award recognizes vehicles that "earn the highest rating of 'good' for front, side, rollover and rear crash protection, and that have electronic stability control, which is standard on all three of these vehicles," IIHS said.

Redesigned for the 2011 model, the Sienna is the first minivan to draw the institute's top safety designation since good performance for rollover protection was added to the criteria for 2010, IIHS said.
