Volkswagen to Correct Routan Owner's Manual

July 08, 2009

WASHINGTON, D.C. --- Volkswagen dealers will be sending the owners of 18,500 MY 2009 Routan vehicles a correction insert for the vehicle's owner's manual.

The owner's manual was mistakenly printed without a warning that no objects should be placed over or near the air bag on the instrument panel. The warning is required by federal law, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

The inserts are expected to start going out at the end of this month. For more information, you can reach Volkswagen at (800) 822-8987.
