'09 Hyundai Genesis Named 'Top Safety Pick'

ARLINGTON, VA --- The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has named the 2009 Hyundai Genesis a Top Safety Pick.

The designation means that the vehicle drew a "good" rating in front, side and rear crash tests in addition to having standard electronic stability control.

The Top Safety Pick designation applies to 2009 Genesis models built after November 2008, the institute said.

"Recognizing vehicles at the head of the class for safety helps consumers distinguish the best overall choices without having to sort through multiple test results," said Institute President Adrian Lund.
