WASHINGTON, D.C. --- Honda is recalling 273,000 2004-2008 Acura TL sedans to repair a power steering hose that can potentially crack, leak fluid and pose a fire risk.

In a separate action, Honda is also recalling 129,600 2004-2005 TLs to repair a circuit breaker inside the windshield wiper motor.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration warned: "Power steering fluid leaking onto a hot catalytic converter will generate smoke and possibly lead to an underhood fire."

In addressing the second recall, NHTSA noted: "If the circuit breaker fails, it will cause the windshield wiper motor to become inoperative, which can increase the likelihood of a crash in certain conditions."

Acura dealers will make the proper repairs for both recalls.
