Mike Chaney Wins Bid for Mississippi Insurance Commissioner

JACKSON, Miss. --- Republican candidate Mike Chaney defeated Democrat Gary Anderson in the race for Mississippi insurance commissioner. Chaney has served in the state legislature since 1993.The insurance commissioner is responsible for regulating all insurance companies and agents operating in the state.
