Parts for Ford Recall Delayed

DEARBORN, Mich. --- Ford Motor Co. said last week that there have been delays in getting parts to dealers so they can fix the cruise control switch system problem that prompted a recall announcement in August.The Detroit Free Press reported that parts for the cars covered under August's recall won't be fully available until the end of 2007. The vehicles involved include the 1992-97 Lincoln Town Car, 1992-97 Ford Crown Victoria, 1992-97 Mercury Grand Marquis, 1993-98 Lincoln Mark VIII, 1993-95 Taurus SHO and the 1994 Mercury Capri.There have been no deaths, injuries or accidents associated with the August recall, Ford spokesman Dan Jarvis told the Detroit Free Press.
