Delaware Clamps Down on Aggressive Driving
DOVER, Del. --- During the month of February, police in Delaware cited more than 1,000 drivers for aggressive driving. The month marked the start of the state's "Stop Aggressive Driving" campaign, spearheaded by the Office of Highway Safety. In 2006, aggressive driving was responsible for 52 percent of all fatal car accidents in Delaware. As part of the campaign, the state has placed road signs throughout Delaware, encouraging motorists to call 911 if they spot aggressive drivers so they can give police a description of the offender's car and license number.
