Electronic Device Designed to Awaken Drivers Dozing Off

February 22, 2007

AMSTERDAM --- A manufacturer has developed an electronic ear piece device that can detect when a driver is nodding off. The device, called Safety-Ear, either beeps or vibrates to warn the driver. The driver gets the warning from a small device worn behind the right ear. As soon as the driver's head bends forward in a predetermined angle, the Safety-Ear will send the signal. For more information, visit www.safety-ear.com.
