Ongoing Monitoring of Driver Records Key to Protecting Employees and Public

November 13, 2006

FALLS CHURCH, VA – USIS’ commercial services business is now offering its Driver Violation Alert (DVA), a risk mitigation solution that an employer can use to monitor the motor vehicle records of its drivers on a monthly basis. The company is offering DVA to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulated organizations and business and will offer the product to non-DOT businesses in January 2007.To enroll in the service, a motor carrier provides USIS with a list of current employees they wish to monitor on a monthly basis. USIS then searches state repositories for updated information on each driver’s motor vehicle record and notifies the carrier of any change to the record. Employers can update the list as needed to ensure only active drivers are screened each month. For more information on USIS’ commercial services business and the DVA service, visit www.usis.com.
