New Donlen System Integrates Repair and Maintenance Records

October 18, 2005

NORTHBROOK, IL – Donlen Corp. recently launched a fully integrated Repair Order Entry System, a new tool that enables fleet managers to collect information from maintenance repairs outside the Donlen network and incorporate them into their FleetWeb database. Fleet administrators can now independently enter all repair details, repair warranties, and tire tread readings from in-house or customer-managed maintenance programs into FleetWeb, Donlen's customer reporting technology. The records are integrated with existing FleetWeb maintenance information from Donlen National Account, Independent, and New Car dealership vendors, creating a single, comprehensive data source that allows fleet managers to more effectively utilize FleetWeb reporting capabilities and achieve more accurate maintenance trending analysis. “The Repair Order Entry System is the missing piece for many maintenance programs,” according to Dave Lodding, senior VP of Donlen Fleet Management Services. “Without it, it becomes diffi-cult to get a full picture of repair and maintenance costs. But now, fleet managers can receive reports that contain all maintenance operating costs, giving them the most effective way to manage their fleet expenses.” The system is designed for flexibility and ease of use – customers log on to FleetWeb at any time and enter, change, or delete the in-house or customer-managed maintenance and warranty information. “The new system takes maintenance cost tracking to a new level by putting more information in the hands of our customers,” Lodding said. “It’s simply a better way to manage and control all the maintenance costs of their fleets.”
