Ryder Partners with Instructional Technologies to Provide Online Driver Training

MIAMI – Ryder System, Inc., a provider of transportation and supply chain management solutions, has partnered with Instructional Technologies, Inc. (ITI) to host, market, and distribute an Internet version of ITI’s interactive driver training program called TREAD-1.The program, which will be marketed under the name Ryder Pro-TREAD, is designed for Ryder customers, drivers, and the transportation industry, and is available through www.Rydersafetyservices.com/, a division of Ryder.The program is a series of interactive lessons, compliant with federally approved driver-training lessons designed to increase driver safety and strengthen risk management. The program includes training in topics such as defensive driving, driver wellness, driver qualifications, and hours of service, and is designed to train both new and veteran commercial truck drivers in large fleets or small trucking companies.
