Bob White, executive vice president and COO for ARI, will discuss the latest disruptions impacting the remarketing industry and how attendees can proactively prepare for them during his opening keynote address at the upcoming International Automotive Remarketing Alliance (IARA) Roundtable meetings, held concurrently with the 2018 Conference of Automotive Remarketing (CAR) at Caesars Palace Las Vegas, March 6 to 7.

"It's important to take advantage of opportunities in a disrupted industry. When you think about it, 100 years ago, the automobile was a major disruption," White said. "Now with new innovations and evolving technology reshaping the industry, my goal is to help the audience understand today and tomorrow's disruptions and share ways to proactively prepare for sustained success."

On March 7 at 3:15 p.m. in the Emperors I room, Chris Clarke, ARI's vehicle remarketing manager will participate in the panel discussion, "Fleet Management Company Consignors: Strategies to Remarket Higher-Mileage Inventory." The session will feature several industry experts and veteran fleet management consignors who will share their insight on the latest remarketing trends including the shift in model preferences and the growth of the crossover segment.

"Remarketing from the fleet management consignor perspective is all about using the latest technology to increase exposure," said Clarke. "Our remarketing strategy helps establish standards, raise transparency, develop training and safety and drive innovation that has shaped remarketing today."

Evidence of this includes the importance safety plays in the ARI remarketing department. Recently, the team became one of the first consignors to be 100% Safety Certified by the National Auto Auction Association. To receive this honor, all remarketers completed the Auction Safety Certification and Lane Safety Training courses.

The Conference of Automotive Remarketing (CAR) is organized with the National Auto Auction Association (NAAA) Spring Business Meeting and the International Automotive Remarketers Alliance (IARA) Spring Roundtable. Over 500 remarketing professionals learn the latest information on new technologies, wholesale market conditions and industry standardization.
