Manheim has promoted Sal Cuomo to assistant general manager of Baltimore-Washington Auto Exchange in Elkridge, Md. He previously served as institutional manager of Newburgh Auto Auction in Newburgh, N.Y. Cuomo began his career with Manheim at Bay Cities Auto Auction, Hayward, Calif., in 1995. His positions included lot coordinator manager, marketing manager, systems manager, and technology manager. In 1999, Cuomo moved to Manheim’s corporate office as regional technology manager, subsequently serving as district manager for Manheim Interactive. He became special projects manager for Newburgh Auto Auction in 2002 and was then named institutional manager. Manheim is a provider of automotive services to commercial sellers and automobile dealers. A wholly owned subsidiary of Cox Enterprises, Manheim is a global organization with 32,000 employees at its 124 worldwide locations.
