Warren Byrd, a former corporate executive with ADESA auctions, was named to the newly created position of chief operating officer of ServNet Auctions. Byrd’s new position is effective immediately. Byrd will operate out of Indianapolis and will coordinate day-to-day operations of the 22-member ServNet organization. In addition, Byrd will focus attention on the organization’s strategic planning efforts designed to enhance the level of service currently being offered while also developing new programs to benefit customers. Prior to taking the ServNet position, Byrd spent nine years with ADESA in a variety of roles. His duties included providing legal services as both associate and general counsel, vice president of corporate development, chief information officer, and president of ADESA Impact. He left ADESA last fall. Byrd is a graduate of Cedarville College, where he focused on pre-law and business, and earned his J.D. degree from the University of Notre Dame. The search for a new chief operating officer for ServNet was conducted by TPC Management Company, a Nashville, Tenn., company that provides a variety of services in the auction industry.
