The Colorado Auto Auction in Commerce City, Colo., held its grand reopening celebration on April 12-13, to commemorate a nearly $3 million renovation. Approximately 800 dealers attended the grand reopening celebration. The facility has opened four additional lanes for a total of seven, added a two-bay mechanic shop to its reconditioning center, opened a new, full-service cafeteria, and built a larger conference/training room with audio conferencing capabilities. The auction hosted a “something wild” party on the evening of April 12. The seven lanes were converted into a jungle, and one lucky winner was awarded a “wild adventure.” On April 13, Colorado Auto Auction offered more than 2,000 vehicles for sale, setting an all-time record for the number of vehicles offered at the facility. Besides its regular consignment sale, Colorado Auto Auction hosted a Big Boy toy sale and a Budget truck sale.
