Nationwide Auction Systems: 2003 Business of the Year

March 11, 2004

Nationwide Auction Systems, located at 1 Oak Road in Benicia, was awarded the 2003 Business of the Year award during the Benicia Chamber of Commerce’s 57th Annual Installation of Officers Banquet and Business of the Year Awards held at the historic clock tower.

Business of the year awardees are nominated by the citizens of the community and voted by members of the Benicia Chamber of Commerce. Businesses were selected based on criteria that included demonstration of ethics and integrity in business practices, leadership and excellence through customer service, employee development, safety, creativity, and innovation. Rely Pio Roda, executive vice president and general manager of Nationwide Auctions was present during the evening ceremonies, together with members of his executive staff, to accept the prestigious and highly coveted trophy.

Nationwide Auction Systems relocated to a 25-plus acre facility at the industrial park area of the City of Benicia in January 2000 and previously, their auction facility was located in Napa for more than 17 years.

Pio Roda and his staff are active community volunteers in both cities of Benicia and Napa, conducting charity and benefit auctions on behalf of charity organizations, not only from both cities but also in the greater San Francisco Bay area. Pio Roda is a former board member, director of international service and an active member of the Benicia Rotary Club and currently serves as a trustee of the Benicia Industrial Park Association.
