Brasher’s Sacramento Auto Auction, which has posted more than $575,000 in Internet sales for Hertz since mid-2003, has included Hertz vehicles in six recent sales at the Sacramento facility via OnLine Ringman. The first sale was in July, two were in October, and two this month. According to auction President John Brasher, online bidding activity is on the rise as the auction expands its buyer base for Hertz to include out-of-area dealers who participate in the auction via the Internet using the OnLine RingMan system.

Surveying the auction’s Internet sale results, Brasher reports that Internet buyers have been responsible for nearly 30 percent of the Hertz vehicle sales at the most recent auction in Sacramento on November 25.

“After just five OnLine Ringman sales for Hertz, we’ve seen tremendous growth in Internet participation at the auction, which has resulted in increased proceeds for Hertz. Because of OnLine Ringman bidding and sales, Hertz netted more than $104,000 more than it otherwise would have.”
