Don Esmond of Toyota Division to be CAR 2004 Keynoter

Donald V. Esmond, senior vice president and general manger of Toyota Division, will be the keynote speaker at the 2004 Conference of Automotive Remarketing (CAR), which will be held on Jan. 21-23, 2004 at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. Esmond will speak on Tuesday, Jan. 22 on “Positioning Residuals, Certified Programs, and Direct-to-Dealer UC Sales.”

Esmond oversees all aspects of the Toyota Division, including marketing, corporate used vehicles, logistic services, and retail development. His responsibilities include the sales department and its 10 TMS regions, as well as two private distributors, Southeast Toyota and Gulf States Toyota. Esmond joined Toyota in 1982 and served as corporate fleet and truck manager, and national fleet manager. Prior to joining Toyota, Esmond had a 12-year career with Ford Motor Co.
