ADESA’s Cincinnati/Dayton, Kansas City, Indianapolis, and Chattanooga auctions were honored in Bank One’s “The One Awards” competition, which includes 31 auctions around the country. ADESA Cincinnati/Dayton received highest honors in the Best National Auction Performance category. The auction also won for Best Performance, Lease Returns in the Northeast. ADESA Kansas City was awarded Best Performance, Lease Returns in the Central region. The Best Performance, Repossessions award in the Northeast went to ADESA Indianapolis. Bank One also awarded the ADESA Chattanooga auction with The One Award for best performance, repossessions, in the Southeastern region. Robert Sullivan, general managing partner of Chattanooga Auto Auction, credits their success with Bank One to a committed staff, a multi-tiered marketing program that keeps energy high and sales strong in the auction lane, and a favorable location. Chattanooga Auto Auction is within two hours from five major cities in the Southeast, which gives the auction a large dealer base. In The One Awards competition, 31 auctions are judged in categories including retention, efficiency, expenses, accuracy, sales, operation, and adherence to Bank One reconditioning standards. Bank One presented the awards at a special ceremony held during the National Auto Auction Association (NAAA) Convention in New York City in September. The awards have been presented semi-annually since 1999.
