Wayne Farley, fleet manager, Ranger Construction Industries

Wayne Farley was named fleet manager for Ranger Construction Industries, Inc. He assumed this position in February. Ranger Construction is a major road building, asphalt paving, and excavation contractor serving the central and southeast areas of Florida.

Prior to joining Ranger Construction, Farley was the director of fleet services for Verizon. He retired from Verizon in May of 2017. He was based in Basking Ridge, N.J. While at Verizon, Farley managed six direct reports, 750 full-time employees who operated 281 maintenance locations in 12 states. When Farley joined Verizon in Sept. 2011, the company had a fleet of 42,000 vehicles.

Earlier, Farley was the fleet administration manager for American Electric Power (AEP) in Columbus, Ohio, where he worked from 2008 to 2011. While at AEP, Farley managed a $140 million annual budget encompassing 67 garages, and seven fleet regional operations. In addition, Farley managed AEP’s fleet corporate sustainability initiative and monitored mobile carbon emissions.
