Bonnie Whidden, administrative services manager at Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A., retired on Jan. 5, 2018. Kawasaki is headquartered in Foothill Ranch, Calif.

Whidden worked at Kawasaki for 43 years and managed the fleet for 33 of those years. Currently, the company’s fleet is comprised of 160 vehicles and trailers. “Kawasaki fleet provides vehicles for executive and expat business and personal use, field sales and service representative use, department use, and race and event transportation,” said Whidden.

Prior to joining Kawasaki, Whidden served two years in the U.S. Marine Corp. and upon her honorable discharge worked at a data processing service bureau for four years.

When Whidden joined Kawasaki in 1974, she worked in data processing. In 1978, Whidden move to HR, and administrative services, which include corporate mail and shipping, supplier, and facilities.

In 1984, Whidden assumed the additional responsibilities of managing the Kawasaki fleet. “The VP of Administration had been managing the fleet, but it seemed a better fit in Administrative Services,” said Whidden. Stephanie Rogers, CAFS, will continue as the fleet administrator for Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A, and will report to HR and Administration.
