Kate Nyland, retired manager, facilities, construction, and corporate services for The Clorox Company, passed away on June 20, succumbing to ALS. She was 70.

The Clorox fleet reported up to Nyland, who worked at the company’s corporate headquarters in Oakland, Calif.. She was employed at Clorox from March 2001 to January 2013, the year she retired from the company. Upon retiring, Nyland relocated to Austin, Texas.

Prior to joining Clorox, Nyland worked at NorthPoint Communications, where she was the manager, facilities and design construction.

Nyland graduated from the University of New Mexico with a dual bachelor’s of arts degree in history and English.
