Volkswagen has released an interactive app that aims to connect humans and their cars, which will be shown at the 2017 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas from Jan. 5 to 8.

During the 2017 CES, Volkswagen plans to show how it will manage all of the mobility and infotainment services with a Volkswagen User ID on a digital platform called the Volkswagen Ecosystem. Here, drivers will be able to configure their personal settings, and integrate services from third-party sources. The goal is for all Volkswagons to prepare the driver’s music, display screen, etc., based on his or her User ID, no matter the make, model, or whether  the driver is operating a personal or rental car.

Visitors at 2017 CES can test out the Volkswagen Ecosystem and utilize its different functions, such as favorite ambient light setting.

The app is designed to offer a look at future intuitive controls and a more personalized digital experience. It is now available on Google Play and the App Store.
