Nancy Reingold, CAFM, Division Manager – Fleet Management Department for the City of Houston, Texas, retired on Dec. 30, after a 19 ½-year career with the city.

“It has been a pleasure to work in this industry,” said Reingold. “I will definitely miss my ‘fleet family.’“

Reingold joined the City of Houston in 1997 in the Finance and Administration Department Energy Management Division. In 1999, Reingold was promoted to procurement specialist in the Strategic Purchasing Division. In 2006, Reingold become a staff analyst in the Fleet Maintenance Branch of the Street & Drainage Division of the Public Works & Engineering Department.

In 2014, Reingold joined the Fleet Management Department for the City of Houston in charge of fleet software.

Prior to joining the City of Houston, Reingold worked in fleet operations for Weatherford Corp., an international oil and natural gas service company in Houston.

Earlier, Reingold worked at NL Industries, Inc., where she helped centralize three diverse divisional fleets, developed job descriptions and responsibilities for staff reorganization.

Cumulatively, Reingold’s fleet career spanned 39 years.

Reingold is a long-time NAFA member and, while chair of the NAFA Southwest Chapter, she successfully hosted the 1990 NAFA FMI in Houston.

One of Reingold’s proudest accomplishments was earning a bachelor of business administration degree while working full-time.
