Kia Motors America has made several changes to its senior management overseeing U.S. sales by appointing a new CEO and COO, the automaker announced April 8.

Jang Won Sohn assumes the positions of president and chief executive of Kia Motors America, and Michael Sprague takes over as chief operating officer. Sohn replaces Byung Mo Ahn, who left his roles as group vice chairman and CEO to become a consultant.

Sprague had been serving as executive vice president of sales and marketing since early February of 2014, when he replaced Tom Loveless in that role.
