Holman Automotive, ARI Give $1M to United Way

February 18, 2015 - Press Release

The Holman Automotive Group and ARI have pledged approximately $1.2 million to United Way during the companies' 2014 "Moving the Needle" fund-raising campaigns. This marks the fourth consecutive year that the annual fundraising efforts reached $1 million.

Once again, this year's campaign encompassed all of the Holman Automotive Group and ARI locations throughout the U.S. with the funds raised being channeled directly to the local communities each location serves.

Most notably, 77 percent of the $1.2 million reached United Way's Impact Fund that focuses on the four core areas of education, income, health and basic needs. United Way has found that investment in these four critical areas leads to tangible and meaningful change.

"I believe I echo the sentiment of the entire company and our employees when I say that we are truly honored to be a part of this inspiring initiative that helps to address real community needs in order to drive significant, long-lasting impact," said Mindy Holman, president and CEO of Holman Automotive Group. "We are incredibly proud of our 67-year relationship with United Way and continue to be amazed by the generosity and dedication of our employees. This commitment embodies my grandfather's mission to give back to the communities that help to support our success."

In addition to the fund-raising campaign, employees also supported United Way during the annual Holman/ARI Days of Caring initiative on September 25 and 26. Together, Holman Automotive Group and ARI employees volunteered to work with local non-profit agencies, helping to make a difference throughout the communities in which they live and work. The 2014 Days of Caring initiative reached new heights by matching each volunteer's unique set of skills with specialized projects to help maximize the collective impact on the community. More than 200 Holman/ARI volunteers spent nearly 1,500 hours assisting 15 community service agencies throughout the region.

"The unwavering commitment of the Holman Automotive Group and ARI along with that of their employees is nothing short of remarkable, and we are extremely grateful for their continued support," said Jim Cawley, president and CEO of United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey. "Each year Holman Automotive and ARI find new, innovative ways to embrace our vision, inspiring other organizations in the area to do the same. The combined efforts of some of the region's most iconic companies help to facilitate our mission of delivering measureable, lasting impact in the lives of people throughout the region and across the nation."
