Wheels, Inc. hosted more than 225 of its clients at the 2014 Wheels Results+ Fleet Summit and Industry Conference on Sept. 25.

The event, which was held in Chicago as part of Wheels' 75th anniversary celebration, served as a forum for industry professionals to showcase fleet management success stories, network with peers to share ideas and take a look at the future of the marketplace.

The Fleet Summit recognized Wheels clients who achieved notable recent successes in the five optimal fleet disciplines that are measured by Wheels' proprietary Results+ account management methodology: Integration & Control, Driver Productivity & Satisfaction, Risk Mitigation, Total Cost Management and Fleet Administration & Ease.

A client representative was paired with his or her Wheels Account Manager to present the strategies, processes and evaluation methodologies that contributed to strong fleet performance in each key Results+ discipline. The presentations served as a springboard for idea-sharing between all attendees on how to work towards fleet optimization and continuous improvement.

"As a strategic supplier, we know how important it is for our clients to understand that the solutions we're recommending to them are always founded on proven results," said Laura Jozwiak, Wheels' Vice President of Client Relations. "The Wheels Fleet Summit serves as a perfect opportunity to provide the kind of peer-to-peer networking that brings these success stories to light."

The event concluded with discussions led by top executives from Wheels and other leading industry professionals on emerging factors that are expected to shape the future of fleet management. Featured guest speakers included renowned auto industry expert Maryann Keller and economics scholar Austan Goolsbee, who served on President Barack Obama's cabinet from 2010 to 2011. The dialogues covered topics like the prevailing state of the auto industry and general business market, global fleet management trends and the evolving role of mobile technologies in fleet coordination and connectivity.

On Friday, Wheels' client representatives were treated to a special "open house" at the company's main business campus in Des Plaines, Ill., where they participated in a number of activities that showcased Wheels' history, people and services.
